Nexium Control 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets are used for the treatment of frequent heartburn and acid reflux. Each pack of Nexium Control 20mg contains 30 tablets of Nexium Control 20mg (esomeprazole), which belongs to a class of antacid supplements used to treat heartburn and other conditions that are caused by too much calcium (calciumENSE), magnesium (astringent and trinational) and potassium (potassiumi), such as frequent heartburn.

Nexium Control 20mg is also used to treat frequent stomach upset (peptic ulcers, gastric bleeding, bleeding problems, bursitis, sinuses, in children and adolescents) and is also used to prevent recurrent heartburn (avoid if desired).

1. Pack one tablet of Nexium Control 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets in a 28-tablet pack, open at the score line. Do not use more than once per day. Take control of your heartburn by mouth. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Common side effects include headache, indigestion, heartburn, back pain, muscle aches, pain in arms and legs, muscle pain, abnormal vision, and stomach upset. Contact your doctor if any of these effects worsen.

Warnings

DRUG INTERACTIONS

It may be treated with acid-suppressant medicines, such as Nexium Control 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets, to prevent damage to the lining of the stomach and to help the acid get in. Other medicines may help relieve frequent heartburn, but medicines that you use regularly or in high doses (particularly when taken with acid-suppressant medicines) can cause frequent heartburn.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Nexium Control 20mg may bind to the lining of the stomach, which may in turn decrease the amount of acid in your body. Taking Nexium Control 20mg with a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet may help reduce acid in the food you eat. Ask your doctor about using an alternative diet.

Tell your doctor if you are using any other medicines or taking any other drugs. Nexium Control 20mg may cause a false test result because it contains a medicine called lactase.
